An Iranian ballistic missile struck Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba on Thursday morning, as air raid sirens echoed across Israel following a widespread missile barrage launched from Iran.
According to a spokesperson for Soroka Hospital, the facility sustained damage, along with multiple other locations affected by the attack.
Loud explosions were reported throughout central Israel, with at least three confirmed direct impact sites in the immediate aftermath. Magen David Adom reported ongoing assessments at multiple locations where strikes were reported.
The Israel Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that emergency teams responded to incidents including individuals trapped in an elevator as a result of the missile impacts.
